Interesting that the English government are perfectly okay with allowing underground coal mining in Scotland, but not in England.
Energy is a reserved power to the English government, though planning as far as I know is devolved. However, the council can accept or reject a proposal to tear up our countryside while wrecking the planet, Dumfries and Galloway council is a Tory council.

The Scottish government should though step in, they can object to planning going ahead. I will get onto them about this.

Hard to believe that coal mining is even being considered in 2022. I see it's another Australian company. Scotgold, an Australian company, are already tearing up Scotland to get our high quality gold. Revenues from these planet wrecking practices, will not stay in Scotland, any taxes will be taken by the English government.

I can't quite understand how you say that coal is being phased out in the UK, can you explain that? Does Scotland not count or matter? Scotland is told they are in the so called union, now it seems though that the UK is reverting back to being 'Britain' and we are all 'British'. Interesting denial of the fact their are four nations in the UK, an unequal partnership to say the very least.

Thanks.
